In June we took a family vacation to Disney world. Staying 5 nights at the Polynesian. It was a very hectic vacation getting up early in the mornings to have breakfast and heading off to the Magic Kingdom or one of the other parks with the long lines and heat. We managed with my wife and 3boys ages 9, 7, 6. We would go to the parks early and when it got hot we headed to one of the water parks Blizzard Beach or Hurricane Harbor to cool off. Then latter on in the eveing back to the parks.
Finally it was time to head off to Port Canaveral to board the Disney Wonder for a 4 night Bahamian Cruise. Visiting Nassau, Castaway Cay, and a relaxing day at sea. It was the first time my boys were ever on a cruise and we were afraid they would jump overboard and become "fish food". With all ths activities on board their were no problems the boys didn't even want to get off the ship in the Bahamas I had to go on shore myself. But when we got to Castaway Cay the boys couldn't wait to go on shoreand when they did they had a blast.
With all the dining options moving from restaurant to restaurant the boys didn't get tired of eating in the same place. Disney also puts on wonderful family shows that are like Broadway productions that are for children and adults. Their are always opportunities to take a picture with Mickey,Minney,Goofey, and so many other characters with the children and tha adults alike.
So to end this we we got back to port and were driving back to Philadelphia we asked the boys what did you like about the trip and they said the cruise over the parks. But after that was said the little guy asked when are we going on vacation? We asked him where to and he said BEACHES in the Turks and Caicos but thats another story.
Now we are booked on the Disney Magic trans Panama Canal from L.A. to Port Canaveral a 17 day cruise.
